Yesterday I went to sleep at 2:00am in the night. Not because I was out
partying or anything like that but coz I was talking with my dad and my
whole family in fact. We talked on various things like the problems the
family's facing and many other subjects. (NO, I'M NOT ASKING FOR
HANDOUTS FROM ANYONE!!!!!)
Somewhere along the way the subject of my writing came up. And my
dad asked me "What if you write the whole story as you're doing, and at
the end of it all someone else takes it and publishes it?"
What really struck me about the question was the fact that....... I had no
answer for him!
I mean yes I know about copyright and all that stuff but to pursue
anyone in any court of law requires money (for the lawyers and such).
And while we are not exactly piss poor, we aren't also that well off
either, so that's money that we don't have. So due to lack of resources I
might not be able to sue or legally prosecute anyone if this work was
ever plagiarized before I had the chance to publish it.
So anyway, not to bore you guys with the details, we talked at lengths
about all the possibilities of every turn out. My father actually urged me
to keep on writing the book, but to stop posting it online to safeguard
against all my efforts being stolen and in the end benefitting someone
else entirely.
I told him I couldn't do that for because of two main reasons. One,
because I made a promise to you guys that I would finish the story and I
take my promises very seriously, I never make one if I do not intend to
keep it. And two, because my mind was created in such a way that
every moment of every day I'm always thinking up new stories, and that
is why none of the countless stories that I have written before I got bold
enough to put one online, were ever completed. Because before I
could finish a story, a new and even bigger idea for a story always
seemed to come to me and I find myself unable to keep on with the one
I was working on at the time. The only thing that has kept me grounded
on the Arwain series is the feedback I get from you guys. If that was to
be taken away entirely I highly doubt I would be able to keep focused on
this story. At the end of the long talk, both me and my father reached a
compromise that suited the both of us.
The agreement was this; I would keep on writing the book at the same
pace as I always have been but I would only be updating it one chapter a
month on the last day if that month. This is to say that even if I have
two, three or even more chapters complete, I will only be posting one
chapter at the end of the month I'm in. Here's where the catch comes in,
for those of you who do not want to wait that length of time and want
to be getting the chapters as soon as it's done, you can buy them from
me.
Now as far as buying the chapters goes, there either one of two
options. You could buy one single chapter at a time at 5$ each, such
that when I finish it, you're on the list of people I send it to. Or if that
doesn't suit you, you could just do a one up payment of 30$ so that I
put you on the list of people who will be getting the whole story without
making any further payments in future.
In this way I can help my family financially and also cater for some of my

So the lit guys have taken down the story coz some Ahole snitch told them of the paying thing.
I will be reposting it in wattpad for those still interested in following it (I am under the same pen name [Iceheartphoenix]. You can follow me there... ).
However given the fact that in two weeks time I have an end of semester exam, I won't be getting around to that till somewhere in the beginning of May.
