Caroline (Karol?na) Bene? was born in Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic, on 7 January 1981. Before she could understand what was going on and even learn Czech, her family left the country. By the age of 30, she had lived in the UK, Germany, France and Russia. She is now residing in London, working as a translator and enjoying reading, writing, history, photography, hiking, museums, cinema, theatre and going to gigs in her spare time.
