I have been planning for a number of years now to start my graphic novel, but only in the last few months have I been able to make the first few baby steps, due to changing circumstances.
'The White Gold Cronicles' is loosely based on stories of the Barbary Slave trade, when White Europeans were snatched from their beds in coastal towns and then taken in chains to be sold into the North African and Middle-Eastern slave markets.
The story focus is around Princess Gabriela Stormgarde who is captured by Barbary Corsairs and taken captive, and follows her struggle to survive the harsh conditions which she now finds herself. All the while her father King Stormgarde sets off too find her and free his only daughter from captivity.
