"Dyningar" is the Viking name for those big ocean waves that can really rock your world, though they're born in a storm long ago and far away. Suddenly discovering that I'd been sexually exploited as a child sank me low and knocked me sexless. After more than a year of re-learning to live, I realised that no-one on our mutual-support website for survivors had been able to work out whether "Dyningar" was male or female. Now my sexuality is revived and thriving, but I still kind of enjoy not advertising whether I'm the same kind as you, or some other kind.
