Librarian in my late 30s. I like reading, cats and zombies, and get turned on by goth girls, geek girls and by reading D/s, if it's well written.
When I write a story it usually starts with a single scene that appears in my mind, perhaps even a single line of dialogue. It sticks, and won't go away until I've turned it into a story.
In my own opinion I have two main failings as an author: I can be too descriptive, telling what people do more than how they feel or what they think; and I find it difficult to plan out a longer storyline, to think ahead and to know my characters' long term motives.
