Ian Fleming opened my mind as a kid to the different routes fiction can take. When I lived in Japan for two years I discovered Raymond Chandler, of all people; he wrote the most realistic dialogue I'd ever read and was a big influence.
Erotica is a difficult genre because of its limitations, too much and it becomes porn. The writers of erotica who appeal to me are the ones who can say it without saying it, letting your mind fill in the blanks. There aren't many of them being published and even they can get repetitive.
In addition to collecting books and jazz fusion music I enjoy studying architecture, especially European buildings like the Dancing House in Prague.
