Fog drifts down
And obscures the distance
Making the night intimate
Every light becomes a glow
And the trees on the street
Enfold me with the mist
And the magic becomes
Too thick to breathe
So my breaths are deep
And my soul is filled
Only the concrete
Hard beneath my feet
Reminds me that I cannot fly
So I wander home
And as I climb the stairs
The sun turns the mist to gold
And as I lay down
To dream dreams of you
The mist whispers the magic's name.
