Don't huddle
I'm a candle

No corner
dwelling faded
will stay shaded
in my light

Not tonight

This night of all, this turnabout,
don't let illusions ride you.
we won't break off in tangent
to this day to night eclipse.

Don't shiver
I'm a shelter

No danger
drifting to me
will pass through
these walls
protecting

sealing you

this polar circle
age of shade
won't threaten,
only hide you

Don't shudder
I'm a blanket

Elements
won't bruise you,
bite, abuse you
when I'm near

I am here

That was lovely

The solstice yesterday got me dark and moody but reading this made happy again.

O Lin!

I LOVE this! For all the darkness and cold this is full of warmth and love. A winner in my eyes.
