red-tinged stones,
sands of time and past lives,
ground into the dusky Earth.
Memories of what was, could be, and will be
nay shall be
His will indomitable,
hers bending
and Together
hers wrapped and twined
with His,
They stand, immutable
against the railings of all
those scuttering around.

ever more
