aPLICKable
like stickable
little labels and tags
to denote demarcation
try to file down the edges
on this square peg of creation
make her softer and rounder
so its easier to pound her
back into the hole where she’s supposed to fit
you may think you’ve got more comin’
but baby this is it
you have the right to remain silent
and easily dismissed
the right to hide all that you are
and that the sorters musta missed
because I think you’re lookin’ purple
and you’re feelin’ kinda green
so they’ll tell you to be blue
like you can stomach in between
and no you can’t be this
you’re that
and don’t try and touch the other
you can get used to this way, hun
they don’t plan to make another
and who are they
you ask
I gotta try so hard to please?
Why it’s just us baby girl
All the yous and the mes
We’re the ones keeping ourselves on our knees
Now I can’t speak for you
But if we’re gonna talk ‘bout me
If there’s a reason we should keep this
Then Its kinda hard to see
I say we trash this shit
Now we made it, we can break it
We put the monkey on our back
And now we gotta learn to shake it
You wana stick with the simian, well
I don’t think I can take it
so Now if you’ll excuse me
I’m kinda tired of being told
I gotta stick with the old way
Just because its gotten old
So show me an alternative
I’m waitin’ to be sold
Or wait, I’ll make my own way
Fortune favors the fuckin’ bold
Now I hope you’ve paid attention
‘cause I might have just got hold
of somethin’ to run with.
Rhyming pretty good
Meter's a bit ragged
Alliteration saves the day
Makes you want to sing it.

I read this several times, once out loud - and it has such promise. Some of the lines verge on the brilliant and then it slips into the mundane. There's some great alliteration and clever rhyming but I think it could be tightened up. I like your work, keep writing.
