Dedication: To the one that has rescued me

Blinking in dawn’s fresh golden light
Beholding such a wondrous sight
A vision that is fresh and fair
As silken sunlit flaxen hair
Spreads as a fan across his chest
Where my head lays down to rest
He strokes it gently from my face
And gasps in awe at the sweet grace
His eyes upon my soft moist lips
Caressing flushed cheek with fingertips
Touching the warmth of velvety skin
The knowledge of beauty that lies within
Blinking in dawn’s fresh golden light
In hopes that this dream returns tonight
