Click hereBoth in Levi’s and tee-shirts
barefoot on a summer day
your hair pulled back
mine cut short
out in the country
down by the lake …
We finish the wine
throw the bottle towards the water
watch the ripples expand
concentric circles
enlarging
enlarging to the edge of time …
Laid back, we watch the clouds
drifting west with lazy dedication
then you stand, straddle me
cup your breasts under your tee shirt
lick your finger and run it between your legs
undo the buttons of your Levi’s …
Then undo the buttons of my Levi’s
and pull yours partway down your thigh
you’re not wearing underwear
your delicate brown public hair
glistens in the summer sun
I smile, you stick your tongue out toward me …
You pull your tee-shirt up
exposing your breasts, but hiding your face
your belly is flat and brown
your nipples like small chocolate drops
ridding on the waves of your breasts
I watch the clouds, drift behind you …
You pull your head from your tee-shirt
step out of your Levi’s
naked now, in the summer’s sun
what are you thinking, I wonder
we had sex an hour ago
and an hour before that …
You turn, bend over
expose yourself to me
your head upside down
looking at me
from between your legs
one hand on each ankle …
A cloud that looks like Buddha
floats past you
fat belly, smiling cheeks
the air smells of tamarisk
I’m amused watching you
but somehow not aroused …
You relax your stance
and sit on me
your cheeks on my chest
you reach between your legs
play with my limp penis and say
‘damn, I wish I had a joint’ …
I see 'pubic hair' became 'public hair...' -- gotta watch that -- or perhaps a Freudian slip? .oops.
But I think it would have done better written as a story. In my opinion, it wasn't for poetry.
You were very descriptive and this I loved. I could vision everything. Without that, this would've been nothing. You're fabulous with your words but like I said, it would've done better as a story.
Never to hurt and only to help.
Sincerely, Dana
One can't help but wonder if this was wishful thinking or an expansion of a fleeting memory? Very enjoyable and eroticly humorous, Poetry. (*_*)
