How can I be beautiful
I try all the old things
you don’t see me at all
unless I’m angry
or I seem not to care

I try all the old things
short skirts
short shirts
bubble gum pink lips
I’m not here anymore

why should I care
when you say I look good
does it come with a kiss
a touch
or even a smile

I’m tired
I try less and less
One day you will say
I don’t understand
why she doesn’t try

Know what?
You don’t try

When did you last
lean into me against the wall
on a cold night
making me forget
anything but you

When did you last
touch my skin
and wonder
How
did you get so lucky

I wonder still

Powerful.

Yet so beautiful that it brings out the truth.

adrift.

I don't see me ~ in your eyes anymore.

~~

Growing cold and distant

Standing right there next to you;

It's not so much indifference as

Boring familiarity.

Old things

Others have already spoken my words for me better than I could say them. Suffice to say I scored you top marks for exploring my inner emotions with such a deft touch.

Which means I loved it.

disturbingly real

wont bore you with the "been there, done that" suffice to know that youve made me remember just how it felt. so harsh.

youve done an awesome job summing up that feeling. well done, love.
