Black is the color
Of my true love’s hair
Her eyes piercing and bright
Her skin soft and fair

A vision of womanhood
Breasts full and round
I love the ground
Her feet walk upon

Black is her dress
Velvet under my touch
Her throat smooth in my grasp
Deep inside her making love

Black is the night
When I return home
I’m weary from the fight
But find she’s not alone

A heart of obsidian
Black becomes the soul
She gave herself to another
Rotting love petrifies to coal

Black is my sight
In the darkness I’m now lost
A beast is birthed in the abyss
Passion is taxed with a cost

Black comes the void
The shadow blindly raging
World quiets in numbing silence
Exclamation mark metallic ringing

Black is the earth
Congealing tar crusting over
Sustenance of life pooling
Damnation now my lover
