Daffodils, Crocus, Tulips to see
Oh what a beautiful pleasure for me
Sweet spring rains
That bring nature's gain
Bright sun shines again
Changing the terrain
Bradford, Redbud, Dogwood in bloom
Each blessing us with its sweetest perfume
Each a beautiful tree
Awaiting its first honeybee
Each blossom finding its own domain
And bringing its version of heaven again
Dandelions take flight like airplanes
As buttercups tip their face up to the rain
All nature anew
As it plays peek a boo
Every bloom a must-see
Colors that bring fantasy
Everything in the world is fresh again
Although to some their blooms maybe plain
The first sign of springs arrival I always retain
Releasing and freeing my spirit again
Winter's doom
Undone in one sweet plume
When the first drop of rain
Hangs from a rose like a tearstain
Washing through
Like heaven's broom
When nature is set free
To see what it can be
Life we can not contain
For beauty will always remain
Like cellophane
Being overlain
Like the first breath from the womb
Releasing us from our tomb
All of us now fancy-free
To be what we can be
All winter we all strain
To find ourselves again
Cobwebs in our brains
Staring through frosted windowpanes
Yes, in the newness of springs bloom
Our spirits have been exhumed
Finally finding glee
In all that will be
Finally fancy-free
On that we can agree
Spring most certainly sets us free
You deserve a medal for the one stanza:-
All nature anew
as it plays peek a boo
Of its kind a masterpiece. I do hope it was intentional.
Spring is in full bloom and this poem paints a wonderful picture of that transformation. excellent poem lucious
