I awaken,
A beautiful day greets me, but
I can’t see it. My world
Is encased in gloom. My eyes
See no future, my heart
Holds no hope.
My world is a lonely world
I see love
I reach out for it, but
I withdraw my hands, before
I can reach it, for fear
Of it retreating from me. I understand
Very little about myself. The
More I think about me, the
More I fear me. I am
Afraid of what is deep
Down inside of me. Those
Who seek the depths of me
Will find the death in me.
The death I pursue. I long
For it, desire it, seek it
With a passion. Tunnel vision
Guides me to my destination, I see
Nothing else. Nothing worth me
Changing my direction. I hear
Constant voices, in my world.
A world lost, never to be
Found again. I was born
To die, In my world.
