I debated long and hard about posting this one.
Hopefully, it will be read in the spirit in which it was written..
If anyone finds this titillating, the words The rapist, conjoined, hold the clue for what they so urgently need.

*

Strength, the key,
Turned as an enemy's face,
Away from mercy
Away from tears,
Searching forbidden
Unbidden
Claiming realms not his.

Struggling,
Gasping she had tasted fear,
Swallowed hate, hating,
Hateful
Feared invasion.
Inviolate mind shrieking,
Shedding such sad and sordid myths.

Fabled truths,
Clichés laid blooded
Lies sadder for jest,
Pleasure begrimed
Manhood despoiling its own nature, enacted,
In gloating horror’s sick parody,
He, luminous In self-adoring hate.

I knew he would be found guilty,
Serve his time,
One-day walk free of even military chains.
Would he then know, new learnt,
Any difference, Severing fantasy from fact.
Would he feel deeper truth,
Or simply mime its shallow meaning.

Her time, ever left to serve,
Mine acquired, forever shaded
In my Second hand sin,
His Sin’s shadow denying me my repentance,
Sin, Mine by my omission, damning me,
For letting slip that arrested chance, that night so real and righteous,
To put a bullet through his smiling, smug and apathetic, face.
