Lady, you seem to walk slower
your youth vanished,
your hands no longer smooth
like they once were.

Your teeth concealed.
Your pale lips like curtains
hiding their yellow
stains.

You don't smile as much
afraid your wrinkles will
increase each time
you do.

Your hair, now frail, silver
mo longer brown draping over your
shoulders as it once did when
you carried me as a child.

As for me,
I've still got my youth.
I've still got my entire
life ahead of me.

Lady, you've given me life,
you've given me wisdom.
You've taken care of me.
now it's my turn to take care of you.

~~

Wondered where you were going with this one;

a nice touch with the youth of today

supporting the youth of yesterday.
