Her spirit lifts and falters
upon the gentle cloud
she no longer worries
about the who and how.

The days of old are finished
her life begins anew
with each stroke of freshness
songs no longer blue.

Everyone was sorry,
but all they caused was pain.
Today she will stop crying
for he has stopped the rain.

The gift of life he gave her
no longer she forsakes,
for in her time of sorrow
the Lord her love did make.

He formed a potters wheel
and planted in a seed.
It grew into the man
that looks right back at me.

And as our lives take flight
the time for us to sail
begins to start a battle
we know we'll never fail.

To live for one another
and breath the gentle air
to forget the calls of passion
no longer will we dare.

So as we start our journey
know that I shall care
for our prized possession
the love that we both share.
