The darkness of the night
reaches for her soul
when she isn't looking
he takes a deeper hold.

With whispered breaths upon her ear
his movements grow more bold.
She shivers at his promises
and feels his body mold.

More are brought to her
and all that she's been told
bury deep inside her mind
gone her protective fold.

Magic and darkness take her.
Her heart can not uphold
the glory of his passion
no longer papered gold.

The veils of mist have risen
and soon the iron mold
begins to pull her under
her mind is oversold.

No longer can she feel him
or see the others scold
giving herself over
her body is now old.

~~

her body is now old

leaves unsaid

the mind is young as ever

with poignancy

reverberating

throughout.
