Silent and steady,
Burning like a fire.
Wrapped up in desire.

A lonely scared heart,
Kept silently burning.
Wanting and yearning.

Silent and steady,
Safe and constant.
Down a lone road.

Hearts that meet,
Send a life spinning.
Whirling down a path unknown.

So many years had gone,
Since a heart burned steady.
With not just one heart.

~~

No sooner do we finish one path poem than another appears, as two hearts join as one to travel down a new path.
