Echoes in a Moment of Time
A singular thought
sitting in her own solitude
enwrapped in thoughts of past,
future and what is,
as well as what might have been.
She hears an echo,
a voice within her own heart
and turns
but sees not,
yet feels the brush of the wind
kissing her spirit......
A haunting expression
that lingers.....just out of reach
beckoning her
from her self-imposed exile
And in that moment
she realizes her search is over......
Looking down
staring into the pool before her
seeing the shadow behind her
A soft hand carresses her
enveloping her within the arms
of what she has longed for....
She releases
the tears fall
rippling the surface of the mirror,
just but an echo
in a Moment of Time.
