Skimming upon the gentle wind
Kiss me without disturbing the stars
A soft but demanding kiss done
by lovers.

Tears slip out of my eyes, giving them
that faraway look
I feel your hand when you want to play
among the sparkle of the stars.

Gentle breeze shifts alerting us to morn so near
The sparkle dims, our lips pull apart
As lovers we shall need the other
See you same place in the morrow

A quiet voice speaks

perhaps it calls out

or perhaps it weeps

so sweet the song

we rapt cannot turn

our ears aside

tears fall light years away

their sparkle reflected in the stars

rate equals distance over time

and yet, somehow in the equation

distance doesn't matter

so there's your proof
