From the bright lights, the big city, and the pain, I flee.

I run away from its dark depths,
From the voices shouting out my name.

The voices scare me,
As I run towards the railroad track;
If I could make it a little farther,
I won't have to look back.

If the voices become victorious,
Then it will surely be the end.

In a flash, a flash, I pick up speed;
Hearing the voices I knew
But could not heed.

The train whizzes by...
