Every love’s a first love:
A fumbling, unrehearsed love
That soon devours our waking hours
With grinning, fit-to-burst love.

Every love’s the last love:
The one defining, vast love
But once we know it isn’t so,
Each love becomes a past love.

Every love’s the best love,
A deeper-than-the-rest love
Until our need or pleasure’s greed
Impels us to the next love.

Every love is new love:
A stepping-stone to you, love,
And once we kissed I knew our tryst
Was first, last, best and true love.

It Just keeps Getting Better

All the poems you write, they just flow. They just keep getting better and better and better....

~~

Once again

Another quality write

With that last strophe

Pulling it all together

Bringing focus to the whole write.

first love of a poem is everything

i read this poem slow

i read this poem fast

it called out to me

unable to walk past...

it made me happy and got me to think

i had to enter its play

it faced me with true love

and gave no place, or time, to run away
