Monday Morning: poetic dust
Temp: ten below
Here I sit, cup of coffee
Where should I go?

Mind wanders here and there
Solo, and with you
Adventures, some past life
Things I’d like to do,

French Roast Coffee, Café Bisque
Just off Rue Somewhere
Morning slips to afternoon
I wonder, should we care?

Through the park we wander
No crowds to fight today
Snow on weathered monuments
Nothing in our way,

What is our destination
Should we really care
Snow drifts down around us
My God, we’re quite a pair …

~~

Even reading of the cold makes me shiver;

Need now some hot coffee to go...
