On looking into my love's eyes,
who are you whom I long to kiss -
an actress dressed in love's disguise
or lover without artifice?

Your mouth is sweet as honeydew
and sweet, so sweet that I begin
to wonder if its taste is true
or sweetened by its thirst for sin.

But, false or true, I crave your charms
and pray that you might understand
that, as I fold you in my arms,
you hold my heart within your hand.

~~

A sweet little rhyming piece ~ at least here the rhymes don't seem contrived.
