The roundest brownest eyes
you ever saw told me today
that I was the most beautiful and
loved creature in the world.

"Higher, mommy!" and I
pushed the swing
until he was breathless,
laughter like bells
pealing for church.
I could worship here.

"Meeeee, mommy!"
she cried, and I pushed
her, too, little pixie-elf
wrinkling her nose
and stretching her long legs
to the sky.

little children

What a heart warming illustration ~ a mother pushing her children on swings ~ each beseeching her for more attention. Paints an indelible picture in the mind ~ to go with the beautiful illustration.

Those are the eyes

That look

Without fear of seeing.
