Click hereOne day my unfaithful brain
Will catch a fever
And in that dawn I’ll be ready
I’ve got my rucksack on my back
Wearing my lucky pair of undies
I’ve got my thumb hitched out west
Where my roots might take hold
I wear the watch my momma gave
To remind me of the humanity
that’s faded footsteps I can’t find
I’m wearing my marine Kabar combat knife
To carve up a fuck or two
Soured grapes in my belly
To ensure the mood for the occasion
well damn, welcome. this poem cut right through, like that knife mama gave you...I am going to go put it on the New Poems review page at the poetry forum.
