Icharus with his waxy wings
Knew desire a little too well
And Icthyus with her fishy fins
Was the one to catch him as he fell

So she took him down
Roll folded him to her
In all those hippie love songs
Time roils as an ocean
Ever onward, both back and forth
So you say you’re a gypsy
I suppose it must be true
Calypso had her island
You must have somewhere to go

The minotar had a sexy tale
As all the bards would sing
Yet for all his rock hard abs
Jason slew him with a string

It was hardly his fault
The monster that was a man
So too many girls swooned
To try to tame a tawny truth
Whatever it was he kept inside
His mystery was misunderstood
As I knew only too too well
There’s only one real exit here
You’ll know it when you get there

No one escapes unscathed
This labyrinth of love
Even heroes lose what’s dear
Just wait and see

Chances...

There is no good escape from love ~ there are always consequences.

Intelligent

A thoughtful and intellingent poem, but are the classical character names deliberately spelled wrong?

e.g minotar -> minotaur etc

Is this intentional?

~~

Oh yes, the way love trips up and makes stumble the most heroic of individuals.
