Grayland's Legacy

BANG! In a swift moment

The lights went out.

It was over for you,

Leaving us all in doubt.

Why couldn't you talk to me?

Why couldn't you say

Everything that was wrong

You might've been here today.

You were so young

So much alive

You didn't give a clue

You didn't say goodbye.

We had some good times

We shared some laughter

Yet I didn't know you were hurting

Until the phone call after.

They say that hindsight is twenty-twenty

Well maybe they are right

Cause your actions showed me plenty

On that last cold terrible night.

I should have seen the signs

When I stopped by to chat

You told me that you loved me

And then gave me your favorite hat.

You told me that I was a true friend

And I took that to heart

Why did you have to make it end

Before we could even start?

You left the answers behind

Written in a note

But the words could not be read

Cuz in your blood they soaked.

I think about you often

And wonder why you did it.

What were you really thinking

In that last final minute??

destiny

Who ever knows the real secrets of another person. Every person has a right to follow his desires when it involves only himself.
