Silently, she looks upon him
this man who is a contradiction
to her
His words are stark and sparse
like granite
Cramped in style, black and white
in form
Yet there is a subliminal undertone
that she has seen in his eyes
and read into his thoughts.
A complexity of emotion
much like the varied crystals within
the rock.
His continence is placid as a pool
but fire within his eyes attracts
her to his hidden depths.
And now she spies upon this man
who has caught her within his dreams.
He sits and crafts before her
Seemingly unaware of her attention
Pondering, scribbling, erasing
Until with a hint of amusement
in his eyes,
He lays down his instrument
and retires.
Curiosity overcomes her
and she looks upon the page
of his scribblings and sees
two words.
Her name.
