Wolf despised the pouring rain
and so retreats back to yon den
inside?
Insane!
a feline napped in his domain!

With hackles raised and growl in tow
the canine woke that sleeping cat
and so?
Oh no!
she bared sharp claws, her ears went flat!

A fight, the wolf did not expect
and feline caught him by suprise
effect?
Connect!
one furry paw between the eyes!

A yelp emerged from fearful maw
and under body wet tail went
Then saw?
Guffaw!
whiskers snicker, anger spent

Big wolf did look a fool that day
yet laughter overtook his scare
His prey?
she'd stay!
So wolf and cat, the lair they share
