The night was hot
The passion rising
Two hungry hearts
Came together as one.

He said "no promises"
Her heart hoped for more
That night was the beginning
There was no turning back.

The months flew by
A child was conceived
Love grew stronger each day
He made her his wife.

The three grew in love
Until there were four
A family strong standing
Through many happy years.

One day their world crashed
Torn apart by lies and circumstance
Away from them he would go
And away from him she would walk.

Desperation, despair and anger set in
Bitterness took root
She blamed him for his leaving
Even though it was out of his control.

Into darkness she fell
Isolating herself from all
Even her children barely knew her
She was not quite herself.

Pain and anger, fighting desperation
Soon nowhere to call home
With two children
Depressed and alone.

She did the best she could do
At that moment in time
She gave the care of those girls
To one who would do as she would.

To love them, protect them
To cherish them each nite
Someone who would understand
And do the best she could.

The girls are quite happy
They do well in all they do
They don't quite understand
All the pain the family's been through.

Mom and Dad do the best they can
To love their girls from afar
Cherishing times with them
Showing their love.

One day, some day
God willing, that is
The four will be reunited
A family once again.

Their love was once strong
No one and nothing could break it
But fear and anger set in
And bitterness ripped it apart.

Hearts are now mending
Love, though a spark is still there
Please God fan the flames again
Strengthen and bring us back.

To be given another chance
To love like that again
Would surely be a blessing
And directly heaven sent.
