i didn't find it on the bench
when i licked up the drop of wine
with my tongue,
nor was it stashed in the glass cabinet
behind the crystal stems,
one of which i filled
with chardonnay.

i think somehow it might have left,
wandered off into the unknown,
that evil depth within your eyes
that drags me down
and makes me into that bad girl
you always dreamed of.

i held back from your fingertips,
avoided your harsh glare,
your slim black whip
that taps the palm of your hand
as if it's alive and slapping happily
in anticipation of pinked cheek skin.

i know i'll find it later,
behind my closed eyelids.
you'll be there, stern,
intent strong on your square chin.
i'll find it there,
and you'll manipulate me
until i really am
that good girl
you always wanted to break.

Makes for a few questions

I like that this can be read as if it were written to another or just as imaginary thoughts by the main character.
