Well I never rode a freight-train
Never brawled in streets of mud
Never saved my woman from some brute
And left him lying in his blood

I never rode a Harley
Never owned a junkyard dog
Jack Daniels never was my friend
Never stole a neighbour’s hog

Never had a woman slap me
Or a barman know my name
I never had a broken nose
Never lived on streets of shame

I never visited a brothel
Never gambled till it hurt
The cops have never chased me
Can’t remember coming first

Never made the winning touchdown
I never joined a band
I never got the hottest chick
Never held the winning hand

I’m a skinny, Anglo, white guy
And I’ve never been too tough
But I invented Microsoft
So I don’t give a stuff.
