Trying to be just friends
Is getting to be too hard
When the truth is... I love you.

Can I love you without
Being held in your arms?
Or tasting your kiss?

Can I love you without
Wanting more than
What you have to give?

Because I know
You're not meant for me.
You're promised to another.

We're at different places
On this road called life
And we may always be,

Turning a different corner,
Constantly out of sight.
I hear you but I can't see your face.
