Far more, I’m sure that
I will know at your gentle touch
When passion conquers hesitation at last
And urges you to me sweep from you the past
Those memories of past loves that have passed by
Between my love and yours we shall remake
The countenance of your soul.
Sharing and adding,
trust and love dancing the slow
Intimate swaying of two hearts and souls as one.
Till the past seems inconsequential and the future seems as present.
And I commit to you, and with a smile you whisper back to me the secret of your heart.
That the commitment was from the first day.
And to my great temptation,
I thought it was you who had to yield.
And here in my haste,
I found that it was my own heart
that I had surrendered to your tender hands right from the start.
And you knew better than I.
The irony of LOVE…..
That would be one meaning.
