Supine in anticipation
his deft fingers
manipulating
easing apart
each crevice opened and pampered
smooth to the touch.
Until a succulent peach bloom
is presented spread before the palate.

ElmerGlewabout 16 years agoBut what I like best about this poem is the incomplete last line. That sort of leaves the whole scene hanging in the imagination. The one thing that bothered me a bit was what seems like a shift in view: "Supine in anticipation" seems to be from the woman's viewpoint, but the rest of the poem is a more abstracted viewpoint, though more from the man's POV. I think. :-) No matter. Funny, and rather sexy little poem.
