Entwined, we cross
our legs Xing the bed
in our motion,
a erratic form
in perfect rhythm.

We reign in tears
and sweat – bodies dripping,
marking the spot
in the sheets.

Efflorescence
reflects us
gleaming white on black

as we separate
suddenly soaked in guilt,

asking ourselves, “Why?”

The last six lines really do it for me. Good writing. Mentioned on the new poems review thread.
