My soul resides without my skin
and is wounded by the air
and though my heart still beats within
it is not truly there.

I see myself beyond myself
yet I died so long ago
I take a jar from off the shelf
and why I do not know.

I hear a sound that makes no sound
I see a sight unseen
My thoughtless mind removes a thought
that never should have been.

A Godless God must punish those
who tread upon his earth
and laugh a laugh that is no laugh
and mocks us with no mirth.

It was a star that was no star
that prompted me to say
that I must speak the works I speak
and speak them in this way.

I liked this a lot. Your rhyme scheme seemed effortless, which isn't always an easy thing to do. It tumbles nicely off the tongue. Great rhythm.
