I have a vivid imagination and a way with words
if u will just give me a chance,
no no please stay not in that way
unless of course you wish it.
I wouldn't want to give the wrong impression,
that of a cynical clown,
there's someone else deep down in here
who you might care to explore.
See there you go again
getting hold of the wrong end of the stick,
if it's pillow talk you were expecting
that's not what I had in mind.
I certainly won't beg you to stay
but please don't bang the door on the way out,
it rattles the crockery
and makes the dog bark.
