Rain, rain, I'm hopefully waiting.
Waiting for a tidal wave to come down
and wash my tears away, far far away.
I don't belong in this world at all, I don't fit in.
I'm just too sensitive for the whole living thing.
All the pain, all the hurt. It never stops does it?
I just keep crying and feel parts of me going numb.
I refuse to lock up inside and throw away the key.
It's just so hard when people are what they are.
The pain, the hurt. The struggle within.
Constant battle not to go insane. To give in.
A wall hits me in the head, I beg "No more!"
The Labyrinth of Life yanks at my chains.
I am so stuck in that maze, in the corner for sure.
Rain, rain, I keep hoping in vain...

GeminiGrrlabout 11 years agoThis poem resonated with me very powerfully, as I am a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) also and likewise have felt sometimes as if there's no place in this world where I can really belong.
