Baby I know its late, and I know you're not asleep.
I lie on my side in bed, attempting to slumber deep.
I know it's you as my phone rings, loud and clear,
But I turn away from it, pretending not to hear.
I don't want to have say to you, "I'm sorry, but we're still through."

If you only knew how it hurts me to ignore you.
If you only knew the path my thoughts take.
I know that you are hurt after all we've been through,
But there are certain mistakes I can no longer make.

Being with you was the happiest time of my life,
Now our l'amour is over, and I'm moving on.
I can no longer stay with you, stay filled with strife.
I have to embrace my new love, and you need to accept that I'm gone.

I'll love you still, and always will.
What we had was incomparable.
Remember me in your dreams.
It is there where your heart will heal.
