Click hereUnable to see, unable to feel,
Can no longer tell what is real.
Walking life blindly, barely surviving,
Sick of it all, I'll go into hiding.
The darkness envelops all of my senses,
Tears down walls, jumps the fences.
The terror I feel is always real,
Nothing I can do even begins to heal.
I reach out blindly, needing a savior,
But all that I find is my own hardspent labor.
My friends are all gone, drifted away,
Like birds in flight, a ship in the bay.
Attention to them should have been more profuse,
It seems all I really ended up giving them was abuse.
"I'm so sorry!" I cry, but it's far too late.
They look at me furiously, eyes full of hate.
I cower back, pressing deeper into the wall,
I see what awaits me... sometimes I pray I fall.
But on the horizon, I see a light rising
I once again have a hope for survivng.
'Blood is thicker than water,' a phrase often said,
As the blood of my tormentors stain the ground red.
My friends have forgiven, have seen through my eyes,
Once again a loving family, no more to despise.
