He

Spins me on the stretcher with broke brakes

He clears the board

He

Sutures the laceration in room four

And

Reduces the fracture in room six

And directs resuscitation in room one

He

Puts a band-aid on my heart in room two

It bleeds through the dressing and

We [ignore the slow bleed] and

Carry on the emergency room dance floor and

He

Removes the bottle from Johnny's ass

[that Johnny fell on last night]

He

Slips in the endotracheal tube that I handed to him for the dude that can not breath.

He

Inserts the central line in room five

He

Prepares the multiple gun shot victim in room three

for surgery.

He

Stands at the ambulance bay for the trauma coming in

He

nebulizes the asthmatic in room seven.

He

Takes me back to room two, closes the curtain

And reinforces my hearts dressing.

[after licking it with a saline soaked mouth]

He

Helps restrain the psychotic episode in room ten

He

Gets the myocardial infarct to the cath lab for stents

[in less than sixty minutes]

He

knows my special chest pain protocol not learned in medical school

[takes me back to room two]

He

hears the ambulance dispatch on the line

He

sees a waiting room full of sick people

And we start over again.

[then go back to room two]

Actually not that bad.

Good use of imagery, nice repetition for unity. The double space thing is awfully annoying though and the 'he' needs to be intergrated into the stanza. i like.
