But hark! What sound from distant window breaks?
It is PC, and Annie is the thrower.
A lost connection once too often
amidst the typing of important files,
a crash, a boot call it what and where you will.
Atrocious language now ensues that does by far
outstrip those words expected
from a lady of such gentle birth,
and none but those so sorely afflicted
can harken to it's strident tones.
It is my friends a sorely saddened heart
Oh how I wish it will not be thine.

Oh man - that is exactly what I am suffering through at the moment. Loved this! The first line is perfect, it captures me instantly, almost taunting me to do the same to my own. Thanks for posting.

Oh you just described my last computer.

Useless fucking laptop it was. It was literally senile. Every couple of months it would completely forget Windows and it would have to be professionally reinstalled because it wouldn't cooperate. I am feeling ya.

Getting a reccommend.

lolol - oh, this one invites us all to partake, sharing a common desire and frustration. and i love how your sense of humour blends the archaic with the modern.

if you had tightened 'thrower' to one syllable - like 'one' to play even more off the piece being parodied, it would work even better for me - though you'd then have to make that a run-on sentence.

It is PC, and Annie is the One

:D

missing comma after boot?

does might work even better as 'doth' in this?
