Stella and Irene love, hold hands,
laughing at the silliness of life,
their sunshine lights a room
and teaches me to cook
some special magic.
I know Irene cries
in Stella's arms some nights,
hurt by a world with it's taunts,
their love no less beautiful
than those who claim
a higher understanding,
but never see as I do
two women heart to heart.

I must

thank you again and again and again and again. I cry over this. I relate. It burns. You get it.

I'm with Espy

I get so angry when I hear about good people suffering like this. And this is a sign you have written something excellent. Getting a recommend.

sweet but not saccharine,

the sweetness balanced by the sadness it also calls to mind, but these lines cannot help but make a person smile with their warmth:

their sunshine lights a room

and teaches me to cook

some special magic.
