Chunks and bits, compressed over time
the strata of years exposed inexplicably
in the darkness of deep dreams
an archaeologist's treasure trove,
unexpected unfathomed
unsettling

Gems alongside fool's gold
reveal ages past,
unremembered
to be sifted examined

What is the message held
within the cramped crusts of memory
the detritus and discards
the dear and the desired
the diamonds and dirt

What reward awaits
after hours of excavation exposure
examination
when the digger"s day ends
and he awakens
How does he climb out
from the hole he is in ?

A Treasure!

...when the digger's day ends

and he awakens

how does he climb out

from the hole he is in?

Brilliant just brilliant! Loved it!

Thanks for sharing. :)
