sometimes I forget
that I am walking
not in tune with every step,
probably too busy talking
I set out to go somewhere,
one step in front of another
and before you know it I am there
the distance wasn't a bother
but if we are to seize life
in every single breath
then it seems to be right
we should focus on every step
our feet are the tools
that take us from here to there
do not be a fool
and leave your feet uncovered and bare
live life in every step
the journey may be long
monitor your stride's depth
and get lost in a song
